Founded in 1911, The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is the world's largest professional marketing body with members in 130 countries. CIM's mission is to be the pre-eminent body on marketing practice, standards and associated knowledge on a global basis. CIM qualifications
CIM offers a range of internationally recognized qualifications: Professional Certificate in Marketing, Professional Diploma in Marketing and Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. These qualifications have been developed through research with employers and leading academics to provide qualifications that deliver the practical skills which marketers at all levels of seniority require to improve business performance. The CIM qualifications programme is recognized by the regulatory bodies in the UK, principally the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The Chartered Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme - Chartered Marketer
In 1998, The Privy Council granted The Chartered Institute of Marketing the right to award suitably qualified members individual chartered status-a development that has established parity with professionals such as engineers, accountants and surveyors. New Chartered Marketers are qualified every year by undertaking two consecutive years of the Chartered CPD programme.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Malaysia
The Chartered Institute of Marketing Malaysia (CIM Malaysia) is one of the four Asia Pacific Regions set up in 1997. CIM Malaysia and its network of Interest Groups and branches in various parts of the country provide events and venues for members to meet other marketers, learn from best practice and hear key industry speakers present cases on their company. Besides individual membership, CIM Malaysia is now open to Malaysian companies and organizations to join as Company Member. Each Company Member is entitled to nominate three representatives to take part in marketing forums, CPD and social events organized for members.
